Alexander Mackenzie Stuart, Baron Mackenzie-Stuart

Alexander John Mackenzie Stuart, Baron Mackenzie-Stuart (18 November 1924 – 1 April 2000) was a Scottish advocate and judge. He was the first judge from a United Kingdom jurisdiction to sit on the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, later becoming its President.
==Early life==
Jack Mackenzie Stuart, as he was widely known, was born in Aberdeen; his father was a King's Counsel and Professor of Scots Law at Aberdeen University. Mackenzie Stuart attended Fettes College,〔(Distinguished Old Fettesians )〕 before studying at Cambridge University.
